Pyjama Week

Winter has hit us. Pj week is a fun week where the students get to wear their pj’s to every class. This is a fundraiser for the end of year show.
Cost: Donations, to be given to your teacher or to Vicky at reception.

Showcase
Date TBC
Showcase is an opportunity for all our non-exam classes to show off what they have been doing in class.
Tickets: $TBC per person, under 2 years free.
Location: Hawkins Theatre, Ray Small Drive, Papakura
Time: TBC
Basic stage make-up is required. Hair will be discussed in class with your teacher.

Primer and Junior Examination Holiday Seminar
TBC July (school holidays)
TBC July – Annual event. Every year during the second week of the July school holidays
Compulsory for all students participating in examinations and highly recommended for presentation awards
Sudud Hall, 19 Formby Ave, Pt Chevalier
Students will come each day for 45minutes to 1.5 hours of dancing
Ballet and Jazz Examinations
Term 3
Annual event held between week 2 and week 4 of Term 3
All students Pre-Primary – Grade 6 Ballet and Introductory 1 – Advanced 1 Jazz are eligible to participate in exams.

Exams are held at the GSDA studios
Movie Night
Term 3
Every year as the weather begins to warm we have our movie night.
All dancers, friends and family are welcome. We have a few movies to choose from and you can place your vote when you arrive for your favourite. Students 7 years and up may be dropped off. Parents and guardians make the most of an evening off.
Cost: $10 per person, includes pizza and a drink
Location: Subud Hall, 19 Formby Ave, Pt Chevalier
Time: 6.00pm – 9.00pm approximately. Depending on the length of the movie. The movie will commence about 6.30pm.
End of Year Concert
2 December 2018
Optional for all students. This is an annual event which is held over the first weekend of December subject to theatre availability.
Costs involved: There is a $30 – $50 costume hire fee.
Ballet – There is one dance per class so if they do multiple classes per week then there will be multiple costumes/ fees.
Jazz/ Hip Hop/ Tap/ Contemporary – There is once dance per grade irrelevant of how many classes per week so one costume/ fee.
Tickets: $15 ch/snr, $25 ad
